Brunswick County Historical Society

About Us

Organized in 1954, the Brunswick County Historical Society is registered with the State of North Carolina Department of State as an incorporated non-profit corporation under the laws of North Carolina. The Society is a member of the North Carolina Federation of Historical Societies.

BCHS Mission Statement:

To collect, preserve, study, evaluate and publicize the history of Brunswick County, NC. To devote meetings to presentation of materials about Brunswick County and the Lower Cape Fear through lectures, slides, and discussion. To publish a newsletter which contains news of Society activities, research papers, and articles that pertain to genealogy.

BCHS Meetings:

Regular quarterly meetings of BCHS are held the second Monday of February, May, August, and November, 7:30 PM, in the meeting room at:

Membership Information

Society Membership is open to all who support the Society's Mission and fully satisfy dues requirements.
